課程概述 |
This course focuses on helping students imrpove their reading comprehension ability and listening skills effiecintly. |
|
課程目標 |
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an efficient way of using a broad range of online learning resources with which students can raise their English up to the level required to graduate from this university. |

課程要求 |
Class Policy:
(1) DO NOT CHEAT in tests, quizzes, or homework. Cheating (including aiding or abetting in cheating or attempted cheating) will result in a failing grade on all parties involved in the misconduct, as well as disciplinary sanctions from the university.
(2) Class attendance is required, and roll will be called for each hour of class. You will be considered "No Show" for class when the roll is called, which usually takes place 25 minutes into the class. If you can not come to class and you have legitimate reasons, I will expect a proof from you, meaning you need to officially request some kind of leave from the university. Starting from the fifth missed hour, each offense takes 2.5 points away from your final grade.
(3) Homework is due in class as specified in syllabus. No late homework will be accepted. No exceptions.
(4) You will receive a failing grade if you don't take the final exam. |

A) MyET exercise (optional)
(for each unit you complete, you will get 0.5% when your score falls between 70 and 79, 1% when your score is between 80 and 89, or 1.5% if you score over 90; however, if you do not even try any unit in this category, 5 points will be deducted from your final grade.) (18%)
B) AE Transcribing exercise (optional)
(for each transcribing homework that you turn in, you will get 0%-2% depending on the quality of your work; however, if you do not get any points in this category, 5 points will be deducted from your final grade.) (6%)
C) Quizzes and other arrangements (TBA by your TA) (12%)
D) Tell Me More exercise (optional)
(for each assigned unit you complete whose report sheet shows a score of at least 400, you will get 1%. The score must contain points for the dictation exercise, and cannot have points for the pronunciation exercise. Each person is allowed to receive up to 4% in this category) (4%)
